About Tara
Tara is an Integrative Therapist incorporating elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to assist individuals to navigate their problematic experiencing. Specialising in anxiety, depression, self-harm, and neurodiversity, Tara’s person-centred and warm approach creates a safe and supportive environment for individuals to safely explore their problematic experiencing and work towards meaningful outcomes.
Tara is very passionate about assisting clients to establish a strong sense of self by walking with clients to explore who they are, their values, qualities and beliefs, which can quite often be lost following significant life transitions and adverse events. She also has a keen interest in Attachment Theory and delving into how an individuals’s early developmental experiencing with primary caregivers’, shapes how they experience intimate relationships.
Bringing a wealth of professional experience from her work in the disability and mental health space, and lived experiencing, Tara tailors her approach to the unique needs and experiencing of her clients.
